MADKOUR Group is proud to be the strategic sponsor of Al Ahram Energy Conference, 7th edition, under the theme “Green Energy: Investing in the Future”. The conference was held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, with the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and H.E. Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
We're honored to have our chairman, Dr. Mostafa Madkour, participate in the conference. In his speech, Dr. Madkour emphasized the critical role of renewable energy in reducing reliance on fossil fuels and generating foreign currency. He highlighted the importance of updating the electricity tariff structure as a catalyst for unlocking investment opportunities in electricity sales and distribution. He also highlighted MADKOUR's partnership with Alcazar Energy, which aims to invest in wind energy projects with a capacity of 2 gigawatts and solar energy projects with a capacity of 200 megawatts.
Additionally, Mr. Mohamed Sakr, VP for Strategy and Business Alliance, highlighted that hydrogen projects involve a partnership between the government and the investor; hence, the financial commitments from the government towards these projects are expected to be lower compared to other types of projects. This opens up investment opportunities with reduced economic burdens on the government.
At MADKOUR Group, we deeply invest in promoting sustainable development and green energy in Egypt. Our commitment to creating a positive impact on the environment and society drives us forward. We're proud to have successfully implemented solar energy plants in key locations such as the New Administrative Capital, Sharm El-Sheikh, Farafra, and Toshka. These projects not only generate clean energy but also create employment opportunities and improve local infrastructure, uplifting communities.
Beyond energy projects, MADKOUR participated in village development across various governorates, including Menoufia, Luxor, and Aswan, through "Haya Karima" projects. This national initiative aims to enhance living conditions, provide clean water and sanitation services, and improve the quality of life for residents in rural areas.
MADKOUR Group expressed gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, H.E. Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaker, and the leadership within the ministry for Egypt's unprecedented leap in the field of energy.
We're thrilled to be part of Egypt's journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.
