MADKOUR Group participated as a strategic sponsor in the eighth edition of the Al Ahram Energy Conference, held at Al Masa Hotel in Cairo, under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister. The conference was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Eng. Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Eng. Mohamed Shemi, Minister of Public Business Sector, as well as Dr. Mostafa Madkour, Chairman and CEO of MADKOUR Group, and a number of the group's leaders.
Dr. Mostafa Madkour stated that over 20 years, the group has successfully participated in projects that cover the entire map of Egypt, prioritizing support for national projects and driving comprehensive development. MADKOUR Group confidently expanded into foreign markets, successfully opening regional offices in five countries in the region: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Libya, Equatorial Guinea, and Nigeria, and executing projects in these countries. This has proven to the world the ability of Egyptian companies to achieve accomplishments both nationally and internationally.
Eng. Mohamed Sakr, VP for Strategic Alliances of MADKOUR Group emphasized the role of both public and private sectors in the energy transition and the need to enhance environmental and investment legislation to create a suitable climate for this transition. Egypt has enormous potential for solar and wind energy, enabling it to produce and export renewable energy within the next 10 years. This was discussed in a panel discussion on the energy transition during the conference.
